At Steeton Grove Autocare your vehicle will be tested by a DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, formerly VOSA) approved technician, who will conduct a thorough inspection, including the engine, interior, exterior, and underside of the vehicle.
If the vehicle passes the test we will issue a VT20 pass certificate. If it fails to meet the standard we will issue a VT30 failure document and provide you with a quote for rectifying any issues. In an effort to save you money in the long-run, we may also highlight parts of the car that could require attention prior to the next test.
You are required by law to have annnual MoT Test If your vehicle is 3 years or older, to ensure it meets the minimum safety level required by law.
No MoT: There could be Trouble Ahead
- Your vehicle should be MoT tested every 12 months
- Use our online booking to ensure you don't miss a test
Without a valid MoT certificate your vehicle will be deemed unroadworthy and it will be illegal to drive it on public highways. Depending on how out-of-date your MoT is, you can be fined by the police, who now use mobile camera units and a computerised system by the DVSA to run spot checks on vehicles. Your insurance may also be deemed invalid if you do not have an up-to-date MoT.
